This capstone experience in the Lilly School of Philanthropy helps students lay the “last stone” of their undergraduate education to understand what they have learned, how they learned it, and what they plan to do with it to help others. To support their personal and professional goals, students will then share their story with an audience they choose. This course helps students tell the story of what they have achieved during their college experience and how they intend to apply and share that story and their talents with others to build their community and career in philanthropy. Students will refine their skills in storytelling, critical analysis, reflection, written communication, verbal communication, and multi-media communication—skills that will help them effectively express their ideas to others in different personal, professional, and community contexts.
