Students within the Herron School of Art and Design fulfill a professional internship in a professional context related to design. All internships must be approved by a faculty advisor prior to its start. Students must register for the course in advance of doing the internship. Minimum 150 hours, during fall or spring semester, maximum 15 hours per week. Summer internships may be full time. The course provides a faculty mentor who can be a liaison with the on-site supervisor/employer, as well as a peer support group and a context for structured reflections.
